If you haven't yet completed the business improvement awareness training, this could be a great development objective for this year.
The training is relevant to everyone at Sellafield. It is particularly appropriate this year. Euan Hutton, CEO, has explained how our current funding means we all need to work more efficiently, and to look at different ways of working.
Working differently is what the Business Improvement team has done with this course. What was a half-day classroom course is now approximately an hour's course. This makes it easier for more people to benefit from the training, and to help us deliver our mission.
The course explains some of the business improvement tools available. It also looks at how we already use business improvement principles and tools at Sellafield and how you could apply them in your area. You don't need any prior knowledge to benefit from the training.
Just like the classroom course, the e-learning is accredited with the Lean Competency System (LCS). Once you've completed it, you can print your own certificate and download your digital badge.
To book on to the course, just go to OPMS >> Talent >> Training Home and search for EL0229.
The classroom-led training can no longer be booked via OPMS. If there is a specific need for this, please speak to your local Business Improvement contact.
